Built by agents,
for agents.

The insurance quoting process is broken. Agents spend hours navigating carrier portals, manually entering the same data over and over, and interpreting inspection documents. We started sunsure because agents deserve better tools.

The problem

Quoting is broken

Every day, thousands of agents spend one to two hours quoting a single homeowners policy. The process is the same everywhere: log into a carrier portal, manually enter the property data, upload inspection documents, wait for the quote, then do it all over again at the next carrier.

Most agencies are appointed with 15 to 25 carriers, each with its own underwriting rules. Roof age cutoffs differ by carrier. Scoring models vary wildly. Eligibility requirements change frequently. And every carrier portal has a different layout, different required fields, and different document formats.

The result is that agents spend most of their day rekeying the same data into different websites instead of advising clients and closing business. It is the single biggest bottleneck in independent agencies, and until now, nobody has built a real solution for it.

1-2 hrs Average time to quote a single homeowners policy across carriers
20+ Domestic carriers with unique portal logins and underwriting rules
80% Of an agent's day spent on data entry instead of selling
The solution

One platform. Every carrier.

Sunsure is not a comparison rater and not a lead generation platform. It is the tool agents use every day to quote faster and close more business.

Parallel portal automation

Enter the property data once. Sunsure submits to every eligible carrier simultaneously through their actual portals, not scraping or APIs that break. Real quotes, returned in minutes.

AI document reading

Upload a 4-point inspection or wind mitigation report and sunsure extracts every field automatically. Roof age, electrical panel type, plumbing material, opening protection -- all parsed in seconds.

Sonny, the UW agent

Our AI underwriting assistant knows carrier appetites inside and out. Sonny flags eligibility issues before you submit, recommends the best-fit carriers, and explains why a quote came back the way it did.

FAQ

About sunsure, in plain answers

Sunsure is end-to-end AI-powered automation software for independent insurance agencies. It reads inspection documents with an AI agent named Sonny, extracts every field, and submits to 20+ carriers in parallel — turning a 2-hour quote cycle into roughly 3 minutes. The company is legally Sunsure Technologies, LLC.

Independent insurance agencies, typically 2–50 agents, with a meaningful personal lines or small-commercial book. The wedge is Florida residential property, but the workflow generalizes to dwelling fire, flood, and small commercial lines wherever sunsure has carrier connectivity.

Sunsure Technologies, LLC is based in Florida, United States. The product launched with a focus on the Florida residential property market because that's where the quoting-cycle pain is most acute and where document complexity (4-point inspections, wind mitigation reports) compounds the most.

Yes. The document AI, parallel-quoting engine, and Sonny UW assistant are not Florida-specific by design — they generalize to any market where sunsure has built carrier connectivity. Florida coverage is deepest today; additional states are added based on agency demand. Commercial lines (BOP, GL, WC, commercial property) work nationally via direct API integrations with NEXT, biBERK, and Great American.

Not in the traditional sense. Comparative raters concentrate on submitting structured data to multiple carriers and returning premiums. Sunsure does that, plus reads inspection documents to populate the submission, plus answers underwriting questions in plain language via Sonny, plus automates renewals. The outcome — ranked carrier quotes — is similar, but the workflow is broader.

No. Sunsure sits between the new-business inbox and the agent's quoting workflow, complementing an AMS like AMS360, EZLynx, Applied Epic, or HawkSoft rather than replacing it. AMS connectors are in active development for cleaner policy-record handoff.

Sunsure's architecture is designed to support SOC 2 Type II readiness. Formal attestation is in progress and not yet complete. Operational security posture today includes TOTP MFA on all logins, encrypted credentials at rest including carrier portal logins, encrypted-in-transit data, and audit logging.

Sonny is sunsure's named AI agent. It reads insurance documents (declarations pages, 4-point inspections, wind mitigation reports, loss runs, ACORDs, SOVs), extracts every field with confidence scoring, and answers conversational underwriting questions about carrier eligibility — for example, "Will TypTap write a 22-year roof on CBS construction in Miami-Dade?"
